The slow growing nature of the wild boar gives the meat a slender texture which is high in protein and low in cholesterol.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"text-sm md:text-base lg:text-lg leading-relaxed\"\u003eWild boar is an extremely hardy animal that is capable of growth even during the hardest winter. Unlike the domestic pig, wild boar are not prone to illness or disease.'\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShoulder joints are perfect for slow cooking and roasting. Braise low and slow for 2-3 hours at 160°C until tender, or use in casseroles and stews where the meat becomes beautifully succulent. The rich, gamey flavour develops wonderfully with herbs like rosemary and thyme. Allow 30 minutes per 500g plus an extra 30 minutes for roasting. For best results, sear the joint first to lock in juices before finishing in the oven.
