November Discovery Box – A Taste of Kent Awards Celebration

The November box is a celebration of the best of Kent - because the Taste of Kent Awards results are in!
Start with the cheese course: Winterdale Shaw from Fairseat, the cave-matured North Downs cheddar that just took gold for the second year running, with Karimix’s Kentish Tomato Chutney alongside - another gold medal winner, developed with Shepherd Neame’s own head chef and served across their pubs. Then move on to Frook Eats’ bronze-winning fish pie: salmon, cod and haddock, in a rich creamy sauce topped with cheesy mash. Add the seasonal veg from Kent Veg Box, open the beers, and you’ve got a proper November dinner.
And those beers: Shepherd Neame made a clean sweep of Kent Beer of the Year. Their 1698 took gold - bottle-conditioned, copper-bronze, rich with caramel, dark fruit and butterscotch. Bishop’s Finger took bronze: ruby, warming and built for November. 🍺
