At the heart of it is a half bottle of Balfour Liberty's Bacchus 2023 from Staplehurst - one of England's most celebrated white wines, with elderflower, gooseberry and citrus on the nose and a crisp, refreshing finish. It's the quintessential English summer in a glass, and it pairs beautifully with everything else we've packed in alongside it.
Think a generous wedge of Ashmore Farmhouse cheese from Cheesemakers of Canterbury, tangy pickled onions in hop vinegar from The Wooden Spoon Preserving Co. in Wye, and a fresh salad spread from Kent Veg Box growers - cherry tomatoes, cucumber, beetroot, salad leaves, and a punnet of strawberries to finish. A proper al fresco spread, with very little effort required from you.
