This month's box is built around one dish: pheasant braised low and slow with leeks, apples and Biddenden Vintage Cider, wrapped in S.W. Doughty's smoked streaky bacon and finished with a generous pour of Hinxden Farm Dairy double cream. We've included everything you need - two oven-ready pheasants sourced from a Kent game dealer, leeks and apples from Kent Veg Box growers, and two bottles of cider (one for the pot, one for you).
Alongside it, a bag of Potash Farm cobnuts from St Mary's Platt - sweet, milky and one of those quietly special Kentish things that are only here for a short window each year - sprinkle them on top of your casserole for a bit of crunch, or enjoy on their own in front of the fire.
